Test Ride To Maine!

I decided to take the new bike on a test ride to see if she will be worthy of the cross country trip I will soon be embarking on.  Proud to say she made it to Bar Harbor, ME in fine fashion.  The new seat still needs some breaking in, but that aside, I believe I will not have to worry about the bike during the trip.  As much as I like wrenching, having a bike that performs with basic maintenance will be a real pleasure.  Here I am on top of Cadillac Mountain, the highest peak on the continental east coast!

Figuring out my route?!

I am in the planning stages for figuring out my route for this exciting adventure.  Thanks to the excellent resource from Wildflower.org, I have decided I will link up with organizations who purpose is to conserve and promote the need for sustainable natives!

This path will take me across the country and will allow me to touch down into the 9 aggregated   eco-regions through-out the United States.

The Project Planning Begins!

The ride is in the works!  First thing was to procure a proper motocycle for this trip.  I decided on a 2004 Suzuki Vstrom. Now I have to sell my old classic 82  gs1100E.  One bike for another to make this trip happen.

Above is the 04 Suzuki V-strom 650DL! It has no farkles yet.

Below is the 82 GS1100E that is for sale now. sadness is felt
